The Defense of Delco Towers

The sun of Dara III cast long golden rays over the Delco Tower Bridge, a marvel of engineering suspended between two monumental towers—Zedara Tower to the north and Kralon Tower to the south. This bridge was more than just a pathway; it was a symbol of the Dara Empire’s dominance, connecting the industrial heartlands of Delco City to the knowledge and command centers of Zedara. Losing it would deal a catastrophic blow to both morale and logistics.

The Threat

The alarm sounded at dawn. Reports flooded in from scouts stationed at the outer perimeters of the Empire’s territories. A massive force of rogue robots, remnants of an ancient war, had emerged from the Cobalt Expanse. These machines, long believed deactivated, had somehow reawakened and were marching in unison toward the bridge. Their programming seemed bent on destruction.

Leading the defense was General Ralven Darek, a seasoned warrior of the Dara Empire. With his sharp mind and tactical brilliance, he immediately summoned his elite force to hold the line at the Delco Tower Bridge.

Preparations

The Dara Empire’s forces worked tirelessly to fortify the bridge. At Zedara Tower, sniper nests were established, equipped with long-range plasma rifles. At Delco Tower Bridge, the engineers set up turrets powered by energy drawn directly from the sun’s rays. On the bridge itself, barricades of reinforced durasteel were constructed, and shield generators hummed to life, creating a shimmering barrier against incoming attacks.

The Battle begins

The ground shook as robots and foreign agents reached the Portal at Delco Tower Bridge. The portal meant to be for evacuation was taken by invaders. The assault began.

The first wave of robots launched themselves at the southern barricades, their metallic forms clashing against the shields. Explosions lit up the bridge as the cyborg specialists fired concentrated plasma shots, taking out clusters of attackers. The Lacertarians, using their agility, climbed the side of the bridge and rained grenades down on the advancing machines.

Despite their efforts, the robots were relentless. They adapted quickly, sending aerial drones to target the snipers on Zedara Tower. One drone evaded the tower’s automated defenses and exploded against a plasma turret, causing it to sputter out. The balance of the battle began to shift.
